Trip went pretty well and I would give it pretty high stars, however our bus ruined our experience. The bus was extremely cramped and uncomfortable. Also, our bus driver was an hour and a half late bringing one of our group's instruments to the back lot of Disney Land because he forgot his driver's license at the hotel and had to turn around. Our kids had to sit in the hot sun without water and only got to do 1/3rd of their recording session. This was a HUGE disappointment. Also, we had to wait on our bus driver to get to the bus sometimes.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent tour experience. While it is great to hear that the tour was generally good, we do appreciate your feedback on issues with the busing and delays, particularly the shortened recording session due to the bus driver accidentally leaving his license behind. We know that is disappointing. For full context, this bus operator was selected upon request from the group itself, as this is the group's regular transportation partner. We value this feedback and are making note of what happened and discussing with group leaders, and will absolutely take it into consideration when assessing bus operators for future tours. Thank you for sharing your experience, we would love to help you travel again in the future!

The kids did seem to have fun though they were overly tired. Unfortunately the kiddos were not allowed to return to their hotel until 11:00, so got very little sleep.

Thank you for your review! It is good to know that the travelers enjoyed their experience, but that the tour itineraries felt packed a little too tight. While we always strive to ensure that the tour feels fulfilling and exciting, we understand that large groups will have varied preferences and travel styles, so your perspective is very much appreciated and will be taken into consideration as we plan future tours. If you would like to share anything else regarding your experience, please don’t hesitate to reach out us via info@kiconcerts.com

Our daughter recently participated in the KI trip to Austria, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. From the beginning, the level of drama and conflict among the girls seemed to be at an all-time high. What should have been an exciting and enriching international experience quickly became stressful for many of the students. Our daughter called home multiple times in tears because of the environment and what she was dealing with during the trip. What is even more concerning is the behavior of one of the KI chaperones. We learned that this individual contacted a student directly, which is completely inappropriate and raises serious concerns about boundaries and judgment. That alone is unacceptable for someone placed in a position of authority over minors. Even more disturbing was a comment the same chaperone made to our daughter’s 15-year-old friend, telling her that she “didn’t look like a 15-year-old” and appeared much older. Comments like that directed at a minor are incredibly inappropriate and frankly alarming. It left us deeply uncomfortable and questioning how something like this could happen on a supervised student trip. As parents, we trusted this program to provide a safe, well-managed experience for our child. Instead, we were left dealing with distressing phone calls from our daughter and learning about behavior from an adult chaperone that we find completely unacceptable. This trip should have been a memorable, positive experience abroad. Instead, we are left feeling upset, disappointed, and honestly appalled by what occurred. Because of this experience, we will absolutely not be participating in another KI tour in the future. Families place a great deal of trust in organizations like this when sending their children overseas, and unfortunately that trust was broken. Thanks for your response that provided - nothing - worthless. You allowed an employee to engage with minors in an inappropriate way. Shame on you.

Thank you for sharing your concern. We take the well-being of student travelers — and the trust of their families — extremely seriously. We want to respectfully clarify, while remaining mindful of the privacy of the students involved, that the individual referenced in your review was not a KI employee, but a local tour guide contracted through a destination partner to provide on-the-ground support. While local guides play an important role in sharing the history and culture of the destination, they are not KI chaperones and are not assigned supervisory or caretaking duties for students. Regardless of role, we hold every individual who supports our groups to strict expectations for conduct and appropriate communication, and any behavior that involves inappropriate communication with minors — by anyone, in any capacity — is wholly unacceptable to us. Both KI and our destination partners provide training and codes of conduct for local guides, including clear expectations regarding interactions with students and strict prohibitions on one‑to‑one communication with them. As soon as this matter came to light during the tour, it was addressed immediately in coordination with school leadership and our destination partner. The guide was removed from the program without delay, parents were promptly notified through the school, and the individual will not work on KI programs again. We understand how unsettling it can be to hear about an issue like this, and we appreciate families holding us to a high standard. Protecting students and responding swiftly and appropriately when concerns arise is central to how we operate. We believe in the life‑changing positive impact of the tours we organize, and we set high expectations for ourselves because we know that families who send their students on KI tours do the same. We are truly sorry to hear that your and your daughter’s experience did not meet those expectations. We welcome you to reach out to our team directly if you would like to discuss your concerns further.

Great experience overall. We loved the clinics at UCLA and the Disney studios. Well organized. Our guide was wonderful at keeping everything going smoothly. However, having minor children in hotel rooms on the first floor with external doors and also having students in rooms with adjoining doors to other rooms is a security concern. Must vet the hotel layout better beforehand.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed the tour and that the clinics were a highlight. Your perspective on the hotel layout is very much appreciated. While the group selected the hotel for the tour, this is certainly something we will take into consideration and discuss with group leaders as we plan future tours. Again, it is great to know that the tour was generally enjoyable, and we would be honored to help you travel again in the future.
