The trip experience could have been better. Our tour manager, while very pleasant was not very helpful. He seemed to hold back information until the last minute. He was not very informative about the places we were traveling to .... he seemed to want to leave all that information to our guides. He and the bus drivers were not at all helpful in assisting travelers in getting on and off the bus and handling our luggage. The hotel we stayed at in Tuscany was awful. There was no heat on the first night (had to try to sleep in jacket, hat and gloves), wind coming through a large crack in the door, bugs and cobwebs all over the room! Bed was very uncomfortable and no extra blankets available. Very long, dark walk up a damaged roadway (carrying luggage) to get to the hotel. The second night there was some heat coming into the room. The breakfast was very good. Some meals were okay, but others were quite awful and in uncomfortable places. Final night dinner and entertainment was nice! I would not recommend K1 Concerts

Loved the concert venues,. well advertised and great attendance ,loved locations Hotel in Vence and Rome very good. The stay in Lucca hindered by freezing temperatures esp the first night. mentioned to trip leader Markle but did not improve til we went to front desk next morning. we were in flannel nightgowns wore winter leggings and feet hands head freezing. I am 75 we were told we had to carry our luggage a few steps over bridge. This ended up a long walk on a dark road with many trip hazards. Somewhat dangerous for 70-80year olds. The younger participants not a problem. Markle did intervene to get Van transport from hotel when we left this was appreciated.. Staff here was great and it had best breakfast of any of the sights, buildings charming but I would advise do not use in cold months. Loved both the NY Dinner at Giano and final dinner was wonderful food and entertainment. I would recommend shorter walking tours never more then 1.5 hours to long more free time could be offered if you shortened them. Flights were great no delays. Even with the inconveniences mentioned I had a wonderful time. As a Senior it was very special to spend time with our youth. They were respectful, fun and willing to lend a hand. I will always hold the memory of singing in the beautiful Cathedral of Italy. To be surrounded by wonderful youthful and Italian singers. Amy was a wonderful non judgmental Director. Thank-you for organizing such a special trip.

My daughter had lots of fun, however she said the hotel in Florence had lots of stinkbugs and a hole in the wall (covered by plywood) making the room very cold. She said the hotels in Venice and Rome were very nice. She enjoyed performing and sightseeing all around the country.

The trip was fantastic. The only complaint I had was the 2nd place that we stayed in at in Tuscany at the Villaggio Albergo S. Lorenzo e S. Caterina. The rooms were cold and dirty. Had we stayed in the main building, it might have been different, but we were placed in another building and had to go to the main building for breakfast. The location was beautiful and it would have been a nice choice if it had been in the spring or summer, but not for winter. Our tour guide Mirko was absolutely amazing. We had such a wonderful time with him and learned so much about Italy from him. He kept us on schedule and fulfilled our every need. I am so glad we had the opportunity for him to be our tour guide. He is a very sensitive, kind man that made it his mission to ensure we all had a wonderful experience touring Italy. I would choose him again any day. Dinners were amazing too. 3 and 4 course meals of the best food I've tasted in a long time. The restaurant choices were perfect. Our New Years Eve location was perfect, as way our last night in Italy with the addition of opera singers. The entire trip was wonderful and makes me want to research more of Italy's history. Mirko's pride in his country showed in everything he said and did and made us all love his beautiful country. I would like to wish Mirko the best in his future.

Thank you for a very successful tour! First, our guide, Mirko was simply outstanding. He was warm and welcoming, professional, prompt, respectful, and well organized which set a nice tone for the group. He was also very clear about what he expected in return from our group to make it a successful tour. He created a shared group ethic from the first moments. And even under pressure, when things did not go as originally planned, he quickly adjusted plans and maintained his positive attitude. Mirko shared his deep love for his country - geography, tradtions, ecology, history, and more - each day in formal and informal ways. It was a pleasure to have Mirko as our guide! Our primary bus was clean and comfortable and Davide, our driver, was an excellent driver and very professional. The concert venues were also excellent and beautiful spaces to sing. I enjoyed the collaborations with local choirs in Pelago and Rome and we had enthusiastic audiences in each of the three locations. In terms of improvements, I hope you will find these suggestions helpful. The daily itineraries in Venice and Florence were very tight. While the local tour guides (and tours) were very good, it would have been nice to have additional free time to take in these beautiful cities and all they have to offer. The extra time we had in Rome was appreciated. Hotels were OK but distant from each city center, resulting in extra travel time. If we had been more centrally located, and we had a few evening meals on our own, it would have allowed us more time in the city centers. The hotel Villagio Albergo did not appear to be ready for our arrival, as the rooms were literally freezing - it took 24 hours for our room to get warm. It was a beautiful setting but distant from Florence and impractical and challenging for the bus to drop us off and pick us up. Finally, the food was generally good. I am a person with dietary restrictions. Mirko was very attentive and worked hard with the servers to manage each person's needs and that was greatly appreciated. The alternate meal at BB Hotel was not properly cooked, I received my meal at least 30 minutes before anyone else, and it was undercooked and cold. Desserts were disappointing - usually fruit - while my tour mates were eating tiramisu and profiteroles. Some creativity would go a long way here. I would have preferred a piece of chocolate or a small bowl of gelato. However, our New Year's Eve celebration was really special in Rome. The meal and service were excellent and I loved being in a restaurant with locals, having delicious food and drink, and a chance to dance! Thank you for the all the planning behind the scenes to make this tour happen!!
